Join AmeriCorps interpretive staff from Deception Pass State Park and Whidbey Audubon volunteers for a bird walk every other Saturday morning. All levels of birders are welcome and encouraged to attend. We recommend you bring your own binoculars and/or scopes, but the state park will have a few on hand to borrow.
We will be looking for, and most importantly, listening for, resident and migratory songbirds, especially the call notes of Hammond’s Flycatcher. Participants may want to do some vocalization homework in preparation for the walk.
Duration: 2 hours
Location: Hoypus Forest
Pre-registration is not required for this event.
