Trail Maintenance Day supported by Byron Skubi, M.D. and Jane Mays, M.D.
June 4 @ 8:30 am - 3:00 pm
The first Saturday in June is known as National Trails Day and is reserved as a day of service for your local trails. This year we have undertaken a massive and difficult restoration project we’re calling the Goose Rock Challenge. Help carry fence rails to the top of Goose Rock and then help construct the fencing that will protect our delicate wildflower environments and you will receive a commemorative medal.
This event will run from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, we encourage volunteers to sign up for both shifts, but recognize this is not possible for everyone, so we have broken them out into three hour (plus .5 hour training) shifts. If you wish to stay the full day, please sign up for both shifts.
Trail Maintenance Day: The Goose Rock Challenge is one of the many opportunities hosted during the park’s 100th Anniversary Celebration sponsored by Dwayne Lane’s Skagit Subaru. Special thanks to Byron Skubi, MD, and Jane Mays, MD. for supporting this specific restoration project.
